to update: fantasy football is so far so good, as i wound up with the first pick in the draft... that means i have one ladanian tomlinson, which even to football-dumbasses like myself means good good good. also, my qb is carson palmer, so i ain't mad about that. also working with deuce mcallister(the man's name is deuce) and the cowboy's d. i think i'm in ok shape, for the time being. not saying that i won't find a way to screw it up, but at least the fantasy football gods have smiled upon me thus far.
i think we should turn our "dining room" slash computer hovel into a full-on fantasy football war room. i mean, we don't dine in it, it's sorta just the room that collects clutter and that you walk through to get to the kitchen. it has fantasy football war room written all over it. actually i haven't had a chance to discuss this with charles since i just thought of it right now, but i think he will be as on-board as he was when i suggested we paint the room va tech colors. can't miss.
i just like war rooms. i want diagrams and charts and obviously as many graphs and pie charts as possible. i'm gonna go make a pie chart of something right now.
but not before i tell you that the yanks are 2 up on the red sox in our current three game series...get out the brooms, people. tonight is cheng-ming wang against curt "bloody sock" "done and done-er" schilling. i think we are looking alllllll-riiiight. especially since the hut is available for some relief action. viva la hut!
one more thing...we discovered(it wasn't very hard, google and all...) that the nyc chapter of the hokie nation will be watching saturdays game at the village pourhouse down in the e. village. this makes me quite happy as the pourhouse is one of the best meathead sportsbars around. i mean, we were gonna be at a meathead sportsbar regardless, i would rather it be one i like. expect emotions to be running high...
