this man is making yankee fans pretty ecstatic right now. and with everything else that's been going on, we certainly don't mind a reason to be ecstatic. i'll tell you that much.
in other news, my very first fantasy football draft is tomorrow, which i am both excited and apprehensive about. the way i figure it, my season will go one of two ways. either i will do marginally well through no intentional moves of my own, or i will crash and proceed to burn throughout the season, leaving a trail of black smoke that can be seen for miles. in other words, i have no idea what i am doing. and that may be a factor, or it may be a huge factor. remains to be seen. i'm sure it will be fun, either way. i can see the humor in my own failings, fear not.
lets see... in other news, i have started graduate school, which is great. i haven't seen my favorite baby in the whole world in way too long, so i hope to remedy that this afternoon. i watched the finale of 'making the band 4', and while i will spare you the details(lest your opinion of me be negatively affected) i will say that i had a genuine emotional response to the outcome. help me, i seem to have lost something... what's that called? oh yes, self-respect. i blame puffy.
we will be in rva in a few weeks, which i am truly looking forward to. i already know it will be to short a visit. i miss the southland. and my rva crew. i suppose i will have to make due with whatever we can cram into forty-eight hours.

When are you coming to RVA???? Man, we've seen you guys SO much this summer that I think it spoiled me. I didn't know you guys were coming down. And after reading that, I have a feeling inside as if I hadn't seen you in years! The excitement never ceases.
