how do you want it?

had a really stellar new years eve...like christmas, it was loosely planned and laid back and filled with people whom i love the hell out of. the only difference was the dance party, and believe me, we only improved upon christmas with the addition of the dance party.

quote of the night, via a.b. "this is the only horn in the bar! you gotta blow it like it's the only horn in the bar!"

i'll have been writing this blog for a year in just a few weeks, the first anniversary of which coincides with the second anniversary of our stay in richmond. it's interesting to look at where we find ourselves now, after two years and many different stages of richmond existence. i'll spare you the ruminations, suffice to say a whole hell of a lot has changed, and things are going well. very very well.

i get to take a certain man to new york for his very first time this week, an experience that will be a first for both of us, as i can't say i've ever been in the company of someone who is seeing it for the first time. what a concept that is, eh?

other than that, trying to remain un-sick in the midst of prevailing illness, trying to maintain some sort of financial well-being, (although that is a joke which will only be amplified by my entrance into the empire state) and trying to figure out just what the hell it is i think i'm doing.

the cable internet is still off(see financial stability joke above) so any and all posts on this thing come in little scraps of internet time i can snag from various sources. right now, i'm stealing this moment from my neighbors. viva la wireless.
