lately the beginning of the week has the distinction of being pretty anxiety-ridden; that is to say, i worry that there will be no news. of course, there is always news, but i worry about it anyhow. i mean, a half an hour can be a long time, when you can't find a stories that are compelling beyond encouraging citizens to keep barbeque grills off their balconies.
not that fire safety isn't important. as the person who unplugs the coffee maker every morning as i leave the house, and then stares at the back yard as the bus pulls away and wonders frantically if i forgot to do so, i am all about fire safety. to a fault. but we're talkin' bout news here, and we want the news to be interesting. at least i do.
but, as i said: the news will come. i will just have to sweat it out until it starts to crystallize round about thursday morning, which it will inevitably do. and in the meantime, i will still lose sleep over the idea that we might have to do two minutes on barbeque grill safety. but not really. only in my twisted little brain.
